This introductory course teaches you how you can use Engage to quickly and effectively create professional looking, Flash-based interactive experiences using the out-of-box Engage templates. No prior Flash experience is necessary.

This course will cover all available Engage interactions and demonstrate how to import audio, video and pictures into your course, as well as how to distribute your interactions using a variety of methods such as CD, Web, and FTP.

Articulate Engage Advanced Topics (1 day)

  • Modifying the default color-XML files for interactions that do not natively support changing the color scheme

This advanced 1-day course teaches you how to set up an eLearning Course in Adobe Flash CS4 using XML and the required ActionScript. This course requires that you have a good grounding in Flash and a basic understanding of ActionScript.

In this hands-on, practice-packed workshop we cover these topics:

  • XML Basics
  • Understanding the Dynamic Nature of an XML-based Course
  • Creating the Course Layout in Flash
  • Using ActionScript to Parse and XML document
  • Coding the Navigation

A large number of exercises will be spent writing ActionScript code and putting together a sample course.
